Way of the Heart Page 3

Back to Beliefs

Reincarnation and Karma have been used to explain away the apparent unfairness of physical life. We are told life is based on a series of lessons but does this need to be the case? Could there be another reason? It is my belief there is but we need to take a closer look at the spirits journey. Why start a journey full of lessons, designed to teach us self-realization for the soul purpose of becoming that which we already are? We start our journey as part of the creator and end the journey as part of the creator. I question that the who or what responsible for creation would not have been able to make us self-aware without undertaking such a journey. Our vanity is such that we believe that it all starts and end with us. There are a few billion years of creation before the human form; 15 billion was the last estimate I read. Is it not more likely that our present form is just one of many and life had evolved to a stage where creation itself was questioned. Is it beyond possibility that the force / being we call the creator is itself a result of creation rather then the cause. 15 billion years seems long enough for such a being to evolve, so surely we cannot afford to dismiss the possibility. In some ways life seems to be a endless series of experiments some successful others not. Is it not also true that until man there was not a need for God / Gods. The possibility that man has elevated a force / being to the position of creator should not be over ruled. The fact man has given this force / being the image of himself and then claimed the reverse does not surprise me. Nor does it surprise me that he argues with himself about such a force / being existing.

So what is this other case, which I have mentioned but have yet to reveal? Experience, plain and simple. Okay what is being experienced? Change, again plain and simple. Yet when you look at it carefully what else could it be? Without change nothing would exist. It is change that gives us time, which in turn allows us to experience that change. This is all well and good but does it help us to decide whether we are spirit or body. Not really, if it did you would be allowing me to influence your decision and that you must make on your own and for your own reasons. At best all it should do, is open other avenues for you to explore. So why to experience and not to learn? The two are closely linked and I will be the first to admit that you can learn from your experiences. It is also true you can gain experience from learning. The difference for me is one you can choose, while the other is something that needs to be done and normally follows a fixed course. Would we choose to experience those events, which seem so unfair in a one off life? As a body I doubt it, but as spirit who remains unchanged during the experience I believe we would. One only has to look at dangerous and darn right stupid risks we put the body through everyday to see that we actively seek out experiences.

I am only able to base my thoughts on my own experiences, which are such that I am in no doubt that "I" am spirit or if you prefer part of that oneness we call the creator. I am however not an extension but a child with the freedom to experience my environment under the guidance of my parent and will in turn take my place along side as an equal. It is also my experience that we are not restricted to one planet, a single form or dimension and for that matter one universe. I do not suffer from the delusion that my experiences are anything but my experiences and as such mean little to anyone else much less offer proof. One thing that has become clear over my many years of searching is mans need to be sanctimonious. This is the reason behind the multitude of religious beliefs each claiming to offer the only true path when in truth each contains the same truths hidden by the dogma of righteousness. Yet amongst the multitude I have found a path that for me at lest, is straight and true. It does not have a name so I have called it "The way of the Heart". A path, which has its strength in love and a guiding heart (yours) in which your individuality is nurtured not suppressed. Where to be as one means to be equal not absorbed.
